  • Application Deadline and Enrolment

    The classes for all semester courses are held during winter and spring semester according to the University academic year calendar.

    In the 2016/17 academic year, the winter semester starts on 3th October 2016 and ends on 20th January 2017. The spring semester starts on 1st February 2016 and ends on 31st May 2017.

    Application deadline for the winter semester is 15th September.

    Application deadline for the spring semester is 15th January.

  • Assessment, Diplomas and Credits

    In order for the level of student’s knowledge of Serbian to be determined, all the entrants (except absolute beginners) must take a placement test.

    At the end of the course, all the students take the examination (made in accordance with the requirements for each level of Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) and get a diploma for the level issued by the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad. Both the Faculty of Philosophy and the Centre for Serbian as a Foreign Language are the members of ALTA association.

    ASSESSMENT AND CERTIFICATES FEES

    The assessment and issue of certificates are free of charge (they are included in the course cost for all our entrants). For others who need a certificate of knowledge of Serbian, they can be tested and given a certificate. The cost is 9,000 dinars.

    For the nationals of the former Yugoslav republics (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Montenegro) who need only a certificate of knowledge of Serbian the cost is 2,500 dinars.

    PAYMENT

    The entrants are to pay for the course during the first two weeks and to hand in the payment form to their teacher. The payment can be made at a bank or a post office, in dinars. Fill in the payment form as follows (available from a post office)

  • Student Facilities

    The entrants of Serbian course:

    have an opportunity to attend other courses at the Faculty,

    can use the Faculty's library and reading rooms.
